 Come on TMP people, let's get the site back to serious music discussion, after all it's the MOUTHPIECE, not the bottle top or meat weekly. Now, after long consideration, I'd say I generally like an Eb, so long as it's not a D# in disguise!

  2. Yeh, but is it a concert Eb we are talking about David?
If we are talking concert, then from a tuba point of view I just love a low Cb :D

My favourite has to be the note you splashed all over the band room the other week Butler. I dont really know if you could call it a note tho, does that count ?

  5.:biggrin: Or it could be that free form jazz arrangement of aspects you stumbled through last week ;)

I think I need clarification...is it favourite note to play or to listen to?

To play...Pdedal concert Bb (when I can really rip it on an Eb bass)...to listen to? I'm not so sure

Appreciate the connotation. Standard NATO for me (milk, 2 sugars).

Yes, the noble concert Eb as favoured by herr Mozart, which has also done sterling service slumming it as a brass band F / C.

Yes, I have always felt that low G (Bb Concert) on an EEb Bass was a lovely note to play and hear.
I just get the feeling that if it were human it would be my best mate !

I like a nice pedal Eb, the space below 4th ledger under Bass Clef.

Playing that is. I love playing that note :)
