Another great show lined up for this coming Sunday - two birthday's to celebrate (a couple of weeks over due) James Scott (90 years) and Dennis Masters (92 years) - a belated Happy Birthday to them both - on the show will be James playing Carnival of Venice in 1958 in his days at Munn and Felton's (Footwear) Band and in 1978 conducting the Fodens Band in a classic Carl Maria Von Weber piece. Dennis will be conducting Langley Band playing one of his own compositions in 1968 and also conducting Ransome Hoffman Pollard Band in 1972 playing The Grenadiers Valse. I also have three bands from Switzerland. Henry Gheel's 1923 and 1946 National Championship finals test piece Oliver Cromwell - the show will feature the 1976 recording of that old concert overture with the Sun Life Stanshawe Band. Two first time bands on the show this week Easington Colliery Band in 1981 and a 2012 recording from Longridge Band. There is lots more great music in this two hour show. Including a track from the new Australian National Champions Wellington Brass with MD David Bremner... Don't miss it ... I will put the show link and playlist on here on Sunday evening / Monday morning...

    Thank you
