What was the best thing BEFORE sliced bread?
The domestication of the llama perhaps?
I dunno. :dunnoSince Rohwedder first patented his bread slicing machine waaaaaaaaay back in 1912, I guess we'd better ask some of the older members if they can remember what was the best thing before sliced bread. Mr Lyons, can you help us there?
He'd probably nominate the nippies in his corner-houses
The Bread knife?
Somebody's guna be in BIG trouble now!
De-hydrated H2O; You just had to add a little water.
- (... I know where you got the llama from!)
... my answer? The oven to bake the bread in!
Crumbs, this is proving difficult! Maybe it should be money, to provide the dough for the dough - was the first baker a dough-nut?
Surely the answer should be plain if the bread is in the pan, so why make a whole meal out of it?
Roll up with the answers
