(given our current hysteria for all things Olympic at the moment)

Given that Softball and Baseball are now dropped for the olympics what should replace it?

Roller Skating would be exciting. Would be a bit like the short-track speed skating in the winter games.

Squash seems like a natural olympic game.

Not rugby or golf. No sport should be in the olympics unless it would be the biggest event in that sport. I would get rid of football and tennis. The football competition is an absolute joke. The olympics is supposed to be about the best competing, not silly rules about european teams only being able to have players under 23, or whatever it is.

I'd like to see "the person staying in the air the long enough after diving off the high board".

As a sop to the French we could always add a boules tournament.

So long as that person doesn't suffer the same fate as a certain Greg Louganis (He who once propelled himself off a high diving board and smacked his head against the edge of it on the way back down. Not nice.)

DJ ing. The cream of international mixing talent should get up on the decks and give it some. Enough with all this silly sport stuff. Olympians should be well-rounded persons...

    How about CRICKET!

We may even stand a chance of winning something on present form and confuse most of the other countries into the bargain.

I was once part of a conversation which tried to explain the game to an American ;)
