I'm playing a piece at the minute that requires a box mute but I'm not sure what it is! I've googled it with not much luck. Does anyone know what this is? I thought it might be like a bucket mute?

    Thanks!

Weren't they 'invented' for use in Terra Australis when YBS toured Australia a few years ago?

I've never actually come across one, but I think they pretty much are bucket mutes... I stand to be corrected though!

Just found this in the errata for 'Terra Australis':
'Bars 144-147 – please note that box mute is the same as bucket mute in case of any confusion.'

    Hope that helps :)
