    Players Needed for Year Ahead

    Hi All,

    Those that have followed our re-growth will see that the band is so nearly at a full team, but could do with filling the final few gaps. Although we aren't competing at the areas this time we have planned Buxton, Whit Friday and Bolsover, we also have a good concert diary.

    Hi, I am looking to get back into banding. I was the drummer for Mossley Brass Band many years ago(I played with them for seven years) but had to give up playing due to work commitments. As my circumstances have now changed I feel I can now commit to banding again.
    As I say I have'nt played for a number of years but was at a decent standard when I packed in.
    If you want a chat or to meet up please contact me on 01457 876846 or e-mail ken.burke@live.co.uk.
    If not or you are sorted, good luck for the year ahead.
    Regards,
    Ken.

    Whaley Bridge are an extremely pleasant, friendly band with an excellent MD and some extremely talented players. I can vouch for that. I wish them all the best in filling the few empty seats they have left.

    Trombones

    TROMBONES - This is now the only rank in the band where we are short in numbers. The band offers a good level of playing without being over the top with jobs and contests. We have well attended rehearsals (20+ every time) just once a week on a Wednesday in Kettleshulme Village Hall, then a swift half in the Swan after!!!

    Current Vaccancies

    Trombones - all chairs (current player will sit top or 2nd with the right person)

    Although all instruments are more than welcome, we work an open door policy ;

    We rehearse every Wednesday 8.00-9.30pm at Kettleshulme Village Hall.

    The bands learner afternoons / evenings are now also well established on a Tuesday & Thursday at "Footsteps" in Whaley town centre, with learners covering a wide age profile - so "if you want a to try and a blow give it a go". Also Learner Band on a Friday
