Weston's not too far off, so thought it's time for a thread.

Bream are going and we're looking forward to a good day.
    Who else is going?

    Who is adjudicating anyone know?

We might be going...depends if the entry gets there on time...and if we can decide on a piece. so much choice so little time...

  6. We'll be there again - love Weston (but only if the weathers good)!

Well we will be one of the unofficial adjudicators, providing our live online reviews direct from the Winter Gardens immediately after each band plays.

Come on over and say hi yeah... :)

Shirley are making the trip down the M5 this year. Since tMP are doing the report, then perhaps we won't be ignored in dispatches, unlike the areas!

Hey Mesmerist - the adjudicators are:

    Prof Philip Wilby
    Derek Broadbent

Dave - is the weather ever any good in Weston...?

    See above...!

Well, you may or may not like what I write, but we will get a live report posted on here that's for sure :tup

Great to know you're going to be there Tim... I'll have a special listen for the Principal Cornet part eh...:)

    I always am...:)

I just offer my opinion that's all... which is just that, an opinion. It will undoubtedly differ from the person sat next to me, but I am kind... :) I'm not the ogre some on here recently make me out to be.

Has anyone got the list of who's going to be there in each section?

I hope it's not going to be a repeat of the area contest-same pieces, like it used to be years ago, because bands didn't have time to get a new piece up to scratch!Haven't been for ages but am going this year although I must say I would have preferred Saddleworth!!
I just seem to have lost all interest in contesting lately, never knowing from 1 contest to the next what part I will be playing!!
Still hopefully it will be a chance to meet up with old friends...??Does anyone know if Midsomer Norton are going????

The past few years have been nothing like it Llamedos.
There's been a wide range of test piece selections over the sections!

Like this contest alot should be good!

I have been playing in the Champ/First Section at W-S-M for many years (with various bands) and can honestly say that the band I play for have never played the Areas piece at the contest and I can't remember any other band (in that section) playing it either.

Perhaps the last time you went to the contest the dates may have been closer to Weston date - ie we seem to have the Areas earlier now which would make a difference.
