Urgently seeking an end chair cornet player

Are you looking for a change ? - the West Yorkshire Police Band are curently looking for an experienced end chair cornet player. We are moving up into the first section in 2006 and are looking for a person to take on the challenge with us. Expenses available - plenty of prestiguous engagements - we rehearse at 8.00pm / 9.30pm on Monday and Thursday in Wakefield. As a general rule we only take part in one contest a year, the areas - so if you want to take a step off the never ending round of contests why not contact me - now -

    Percussion player needed urgently

West Yorkshire Police Band are based at Wakefield and are a second section band - we rehearse Monday / Thursday 7.30pm / 9.30pm and we are looking for an enthusiastic third percussionist to make up our percussion section. At present we only enter one contest per year (the Yorkshire areas at Bradford) and have a busy concert schedule. This September the band has been invited to New York to take part in the September 11th memorial parade. We do not accept engagements in August. We pay expenses for both rehearsals and engagements. The band these days is predominantly non police personnel.

If you are interested - contact Chris Helme - concert secretary on cdhelme3539.brighouse@zen.co.uk

    Thank you
