Any one got any ideas roughly how many bands have entered in Championship section on the Sunday and therefore what time it's likely to finish??

I am led to believe that there are 10 Championship section bands.
Seeing as its a 12 minute piece its should have a turnaround time of 20 mins so 3 bands an hour.
The 4th Section (13-15 bands) is due to start at 11am and again with 3 bands an hour (Divertimento is 12mins as well) Its likely that the Championship section wont start till at least 2-3pm.
So my guess would be between 5-6pm.

Can't they switch 4th & Championship to a Saturday for once?

This is our first time in Champ section but th change from Saturday to Sunday is a nuisance....sounds like it won't be that much of a late finish but then i guess it depends how far you're travelling to get home!!! No time for recoveery before going back to school/work/college

it's a pity they choose a weekend that clashes with the six nations rugby as well

I sympathise with your journey Nick, we'll be going down in the morning and trying to stop somewhere for a rehearsal on the way. It will be a very early start :-(

Same for Northop!! Except playing on the saturday this year, we decided last night that its a 7:45am start, with a rehearsal at the hotel before the contest in the afternoon!! VERY long day (and hopefully even longer evening ;) ) Slightly better than last year - sure it was well after 6 when we got to the Brangwyn and finally played.

Maybe we should try and stay in the 1st section for next year aswell ;)

Don't forget being kept outside for half an hour waiting your turn for the changing rooms!
