Welcome to the tMP FIFA World Cup 2006 category...

Given that we accept there's very likely going to be a gazillion new posts related to the forthcoming World Cup 2006, we thought it would be a great idea to create a new temporary category specifically for all the footie and World Cup related threads and posts. Doing this will ensure they can be found easily, in the same area, and will be easy to manage etc.

Due to the probable increase in threads over the next few weeks while the World Cup is taking place, we need some extra help in the Moderation dept. I'm delighted to announce that Crawford (aka 2nd Man Down) has very foolishly agreed to moderate this area for us, and to ensure everything posted within it is in accordance with our usual family friendly rules and policies... OK, with perhaps just a little extra rope for you die-hards, but only this time OK!!!

So, look out for the mad man with his new moderator hat on... he'll be after you :) and enjoy the World Cup.

Ooh sounds good, will 2MD be staying 'moddy' permanantly after the cup is over?

This DoT Initiative has been re-launched May 2006.
Due to the nature of the quality of driving in England, the Department of Transport has devised a new scheme in order to identify poor drivers and give good drivers the opportunity to recognise them whilst driving.
For this reason from the middle of May 2006 those drivers who have been found to have been driving badly which includes: Hogging the middle lane on Motorways, Hogging the outside lane on Motorways, Overtaking in dangerous places, Hovering within 1 inch of vehicle in front of them, Stopping sharply, Speeding in residential areas, Pulling out without indication, Performing U Turns inappropriately in busy high streets, Taking up more than one lane on multi-lane roads, Not indicating.
Theses drivers will be required to display a flag, white with a red cross, signifying their inability to drive properly. These flags must be clipperd to the door of the car and be visible to all other road users and pedestrians.
Those drivers who have shown particularly poor driving skills will be required to display a flag on each side of the vehicle to indicate their greater lack of skill and general lower intelligence mindset to the general public.
Please coirculate this to as many motorists as you can so that drivers and pedestrians will be aware of the meaning of these flags.

    - welcome to the world of moderating, Crawf! Hope you are using the latest technology of video playback and studying breaches to the offside rule in your new role. Watch for the divers and others who commit professional fouls (no matter how muted they appear!) ;)

p.s., did you get supplied with a whistle, yellow and red cards as well?
