My daughter has been asked to play a cornet solo at a wedding in August. Racking brains rying to think of a piece for her to play...

She's Grade 1 - 2, can play up to middle E/F (at a push at the moment). Any suggestions on a suitable piece?

At the moment, we have Pavane from Easy Winners book.

    TIA - BRB

Is a dance band playing at all? Maybe some popular song can be arranged with them to show her off and leave something in her memory for ever? ;)

Would suggest Winners Galore books - pick them up from any music shop and they have all traditional stuff in there.

If you are looking for a solo with band, then possibly Aura Lee (Love me tender) by Gary young arranged for young band. It only goes to a middle Bb - very simple but effective and safe from splits!
