    Hi all,

I'm looking to buy Capriccio for solo Eb bass by Rodney Newton. I played it once a long time ago arranged for bass with piano, but I have heard that it is available for bass with band. Does anyone know if this is true, and where/how to obtain it?

    Thanks

    Ben

There is a version available with brass band accompaniment. Our records show it was published by Rosehill Music who are now known as Winwood Music; www.winwoodmusic.com

The piece has become popular with tuba players in recent months and Joe Cook has just recorded it with Black Dyke to go on the forthcoming Essential Dyke Volume VII CD.

So it isn't just a myth that this is available!

    Thanks

Jim Gourlay has also recorded it with Britannia Building Society, CD available here.

Parts available from Just Music here

Thats what Graham Fraser played and won at the Scottish Solos last weekend, shame he cant pronounce "Capriccio" properly which is funny everytime I wind him up!!!

We, well Jen, play it at City of Birmingham, so the parts certainly exist! :-D
