Wantage (conductor Phil Bailey) have a new Euphonium line-up for their
appearance in the L&SC Championship section at Stevenage - new signing Ian
Brown is joined by legend Lyndon Baglin on Solo Euph.

Lyndon played solo euph in the great CWS (Manchester) band who won
their Area with 'Salute to Youth' when it first appeared in the 1960's - and went on to become National Champions.

Experience is joined by youth - 3 players have graduated from the
Wantage 'B' band; Jack Tinker and Sam Chapman (see 4BR 11 Jan 2009 ...
'one of the star performers of 2008') on cornet, and 11-year-old Daniel
    Willis on percussion.

Lyndon was (and still is) my Euphonium hero. I had heard he wasn't playing anymore - obviously incorrect information. Best of luck - I'm sure Mr Baglin's experience will rub off on the younger players!

My all time number one Euph player - worth the trip down from Preston to hear him:p

Where's the other Ian sitting for the area then, Phil?

This Sunday (15th March) is an open rehearsal in Wantage if anyone is interested to come along and listen at 7.00pm-8.30pm. We will be working on and performing the test piece. A must for all Euph fans I would think...
For details of venue please PM me.
