A couple of months ago I was fortunate to visit the Weston Silver Band, just to the east of Toronto, Canada. I contacted them through their website and the invited me and my girlfriend down for a rehearsal, (they had no concerts while we were over there).

It was really interesting to see a British Style brass band working really well so far away from home. In fact 5 of the players were born in the UK and had carried on playing in Canada.

They were really welcoming, gave us a CD and book about the band and even bought us a beer in the bandroom bar!!!!

I was interested to hear if anyone else has visited any British Style brass bands outside of the UK, and how it went (good or bad!)

The Young Ambassadors Brass Band Of Great Britain played a concert with Weston Silver in the Summer. We had a fantastic time with the band before, during and after the concert:-D.
