We are selling this trombone on behalf of the player's widow. We don't know very much about it but we know that he was a passionate musician who loved to buy great old instruments. We have already sold a number of them, including a silver-plated King sousaphone.

This instrument is in great condition: we think it has been re-plated (silver); the slide moves freely as does the tuning slide. It comes with a good quality black gig bag.

It has a spare tuning slide. This seems to put in to a higher tuning (the longer one seems to be at A = 440Hz pitch). There is also a counterweight which fits into the tuning slide if you need it.

This is undoubtedly an old instrument: it has no slide lock; the slide is heavy but moves well; the bell section pushes on to the slide section and does not screw on.

From our research we have had a number of estimates of value up to £1000. We have set the price at £500 but we are prepared to consider sensible lower offers.
