Just thought I'd start a thread to see how everyone has got on this year. I managed to pass into my final year, don't know wether to laugh or cry...I'll have to get a job in less than 12 months time

Also who's going to uni and where?...you can't go wrong with coming to Salford :p

AS and A2 results aren't out til mid August, and GCSE's aren't til the week after.
    Well done to you though!

I've already posted this elsewhere, but I see no problem with doing it again...!

I managed to get into the 2nd year of BA Music at Rolle College in Exmouth!

    For each module I got:

    World Music: 1st
    Instrumental Studies :1st
    Landmarks in Western Music: 2:1
    Multi-Dimensional Sound: 2:1
    Developing Musicianship: 2:1
    Composition: 2:2

So I'm happy, but it is a shame that none of the first year counts towards the final degree...

That's because all uni's think that 1st years just go out and get hammered rather than doing work...they are mostly right

Congrats on your marks though

  6. Good stuff Andy!

Year 2's the most stressful year in terms of workload and time - I personally found my last year a lot easier to organise timewise, and due to the electives I chose I could work on them from the start of the year so you can get in front while things are quieter at the beginning of term so that you can afford to take some time out of them to do your supoprting modules as they come.
As long as you're organised, you'll be fine for next year. Even I passed it!!!

Yey - Well done everybody. I managed to pass my second year too, 3 As, 3B+ and a B. THat means that I'm further on in my university attempt than I was first time round- hurray!

I might get told off for wandering off topic but.....did anyone do 4 A levels, cos I wanna carry all mine on but might not be able to cope, just wondered if any1 has survived this. (I do music, music technology, french and pyschology)

My brother did 4 A levels (maths, music, chemistry and physics) and 2 of his subjects were in the same teaching block (music & physics) so he went to half of the music lessons and half of the physics lessons - he got 4 As for A/S and no doubt he'll get the same for his A levels - if I remember I will let you know!

Back to the subject at hand - I've got through to my 3rd year in dental school in Cardiff with a 1st for my first 2 years!

Well done to everyone else! Keep up the good work!!!:D

I reckon you'll be fine doing four. I did music, business studies, photography (which took up lots of my time) and general sudies (which took up very little of my time!), and found that I still had plently of time for band, work, and socialising! And if you do struggle, you can always drop something!!

Just finished my second year of four at Warwick studying Chemistry (MChem).

2:2 for the second year running.

I might get that magic 2:1 eventually.

Maybe cutting down on the music I do at uni might leave me enough time to study properly! ;)

I managed 4 A Levels... well actually, I took 4 AS, dropped one, but took up another, and took up AS/A2 General studies and did the lot in one year. That's 4 A2's and 2 AS's in the two years... so you'll be fine!!

As for my degree... I got a first. I graduate on the 26th!Woo!
