Can anyone share some hard facts that would tell me more about the value of my Benge Flugelhorn??? I got it at least 15-20 years ago. It is in great condition.

Which model is it and approximate age? There is one on sale here and information on the history of Benge flugels scattered on this site.

On the bell, from top to bottom, it reads:

    Resno-Tempered Bell
    Custom Built
    Los Angeles, Calif.

    The second valve casing reads:

    32537 (serial number)

I got this horn maybe 20 some-odd years ago. It is an excellent instrument. Any idea on a price? From what I can tell it's sitting between a $600 - ? $1200+ price range. ???

    Thanks, Brassneck...

A lot of that info was helpful. It does sound like an interesting history of the Benge flugelhorn line of instruments. See, I am going to sell this horn, and I want to have an accurate price tag associated with the advert.

I'd rather not part with it, but I will not be playing it, and can use the cash.

If you know anyone who may be interested, please send them my way.

    Horn will come with:

    - double gig bag case for Bb/C/Eb and Flugel
    - 3c Vincent Bach flugelhorn mouthpiece

I think I am going to price this horn between $700 - $1000
