can anyone give me an idea of some nice easyish popular trombone solos for summer concerts?

Try 'Vegas Sunset' (Nigel Hall) (amongst others) from . It's an original and not an arrangement of something else but is very depictive and listenable and would suit summer concerts.:)

Really depends on what you mean by "easyish". Maybe something like Misty? That's fairly straightforward. Or, if it wouldn't offend your cornet section, Share My Yoke is nice on trombone.
