Im looking for a Trombone practice mute that looks like a beret!! Its a material mute that Ive seen some guys use want to get one but dont know the name of them or where they come from!

    Any tMPers able to help?

Not really a practice mute as such, just a sound muffler. You could always just play quieter ;) .

There seems to be an increase in Practice Mute interest recently. Maybe because some bands have started using them as a substitute for ppp, but if you after a good one for a) practicing quietly, or b) developing an open and controlled sound, you can't go far wrong with a Denis Wick.

If you really need a French Beret type of thing, I've seen people using a bicycle seat cover. Probably just as good!
