    I'm looking for some suggestions for Trombone duets with band. Any standard, bit hard would probably be more fun. Could be two tenors, or tenor and bass.

    Try Scarborough Fair by Gordon Langford If its still available.

    There are some Salvation Army trombone duets which are great to play! But they might be a bit hard to find.

    Not if you contact us!

    We have 3 trombone duets listed in The Salvation Army Brass Band Journals as follows;

    Comrades (Albert Jakeway); as recorded by Andrew Justice and Nick Hudson on Comrades.
    Now Let Us Praise The Lord; not sure if this is by E or N Silfverberg.
    In Shining Armour (Herbert Mountain); as recorded by Brett Baker and Paul Woodward on In Shining Armour.

    I don't know whether "We shall win" or George Marshall's "Glorious Fountain" - as recently recorded by Brett Baker and Paul Woodward - are available with band accompaniment. There is also the duet "When Jesus" written by Dudley Bright for himself and (the then very young!) Chris Gomersall to play at the Albert Hall. I don't believe it's been published, although it was recorded by Andrew Justice & Nick Hudson, so it may be available in some form or other.

    "Trombone duets"

    How's your maths? Are they 33%, 50% or 67% better than a Trombone Trio?
