    1. "MERRY-GO-ROUND"
This has been in the "Flixton" band concert programme for several months.

    2. "HERE'S THAT RAINY DAY"
This beautiful trombone solo has also been performed a few times by Flixton Band (and myself). Contrary to popular belief, I am not a BBb Bass player, I am a trombonist who plays BBb Bass!

    3. "A RACHMANINOFF PRELUDE"
This has been performed by "Hawk Green(Marple)". The 'bass' section loved it so much, that one of them bought the CD with the original, (Prelude in G minor for Pianoforte). I was informed that the BB version sounded better, I suggested that maybe 'Sergie' wrote it for brass band, but there wasn't one available at the time, so he did it for piano instead!

That's enough for now. There are audio excerpts from these three arrangements. They are on MidiFile, and bare very little resemblance to the sound or detail of a true brass band! However, they provide an overall idea of 'how it goes'.

    Ilkley Moor

    4. I will also mention "ON ILKLEY MOOR PASTICHE", well received by Martyn France and the Watford Band.
