Old Hall Brass are delighted to announce the appointment of Trevor Halliwell F.T.C.L. as their new MD.
Trevor, who has previously conducted Orrell Silver Band and Besses O’Th Barn, started his playing career at the age of 9 with Pemberton Old, progressing to the Flugel Horn seat at Wingates at the age of 16. Trevor also played with Fodens, before returning to Wingates as Principal Cornet. Whilst at Wingates for the second time, Trevor was crowned Solo Champion of Great Britain (1979).

Old Hall Brass are a 2nd Section band with high ambition. We are based in Billinge, near Wigan. It is hoped that working with Trevor will instill the band with new confidence to rise to the challenge of regaining 1st Section status, and to make an impression on the brass band scene in 2006/2007.

Trevor’s first engagement with Old Hall Brass will be at the Whit Friday Marches on 9th June 2006.

Old Hall Brass are also looking for Trombone and Bb Bass players. We would also welcome anyone looking just to come along and join us for a rehearsal. If you are interested, please contact Paul on 07889 271291 or John on 01942 208732, or visit our website at www.oldhallbrass.com
