So what will tMPers vote for?
With the possible exception of Radar Love, none of them would have been my choice (I wanted Fleetwood Mac - The Chain), but hey, you can't have everything in this life.

Of that list I've voted for steppenwolf. But its not really one of my favorites to be honest.

For me it depends on the occasion. A nice sunny day is always time for the Beach Boys, the drive home from work is normally accompanied by something rocky and more contemporary like the Stereophonics or manic Street Preachers (both Welsh too interestingly...) a late night drive home is usually time for mean and moody like REM or Radiohead.

As foir a single track I've always had a liking for a song called "Duel" by that well-known Germanic group "Propaganda"... No particular reason why, I just like it, and it happened to be the title music for the BBC's old "rally report" programme.

What I won't be doing is voting for that overweight, overwrought oaf, Meatloaf, as I'd sooner shove molten jellybabies in my ears than listen to his melodramatic tosh.

Voted for Steppenwolf, but my favourite driving songs are(in no particular order!!)

    Black Sunshine - White Zombie
I Believe in a Thing Called Love - The Darkness
    Black Betty - Ram Jam
    Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne
    Walk - Pantera

I could go on forever with this list!!! I cant believe that Balck Betty wasn't in the Top Gear list though!!!

Hello Brassb3ll3nd! Was just wondering where you'd got to!

Bat Out Of Hell is far too predictable for a biker...

    gotta be....

surferosa - lucky lipstick (album: shanghai my heart)
greenday - any song, altho minority, warning, basket case, longview, she, and anything off american idiot are my faves
bodyrockers - i like the way you move
anything by flogging molly, or jimmy eat world, [spunge] or the white stripes

however, none of these were on the poll so i was forced to vote steppenwolf

Just to clarify, the poll above is the final choice given on Top Gear last night. It's not mine....

Was just thinking, for driving home late at night in a storm, you can't beat a bit of Wagner. Ride of The Valkyries for preference, but will settle for The Flying Dutchman.

I keep a copy of AC/DC For Those About To Rock in the car for those little road-rage moments.
