I'm really sorry guys, but I'm going to have to pull out. My band has a rehersal at 7-9 in Rhyl, so I won't be able to play... I'm gutted :(

    Hope you play well!

I've got potential accommodation sorted for the whole weekend, though I may be suffering from intoxication on Saturday. And Sunday too. I promise to not get pickled before we play if I'm picked - I can do either day ;)

Since you've got four sops I'm going to bow out gracefully and leave you to it. (And after last night's practice, I think I'll be better off contesting on a fresh lip on Sunday!)

  13. Always just as i think i'm gonna be the only bass trombone someone else goes and signs up ... *sigh* ... Just as long as i get the infamous 2nd bass trombone part if we play Slaidburn, you know, the one that's the same as 1st bass trombone, just an octave lower ...

I always thought that was the 1st Bass Trombone part!

Anyway, with 1000 horns we'll need all the help we can get on the trombone line!

Just had a surreal moment: clicked onto the page with your avatar at the top just as Rimsky-Korsakov's trombone concerto came on the cd - didn't know the lurpak trombonist was that good :!:

If we are short of any instrument, post it on the website by noon tomorrow or see me on the day...I should be able to provide extra players if need be
