Can anyone tell me how you go about getting involved in any of the tMP Bands i.e. Whit Friday, Easingwold, Children in Need??

Won't be ably to do Whit Friday cos Emley regularly participate but I'm certainly interested in the Children in Need Band.
Just need to know who to contact or what to do.

    Thank is advance you lot.

The Children In Need band was one that was specially set up for last year's event, and all tMP members had the chance to register their interest. This is the case whenever a 'tMP Band' is set up - as can be seen from the Whit Friday thread (and was the case with last year's Whit Friday and Easingwold bands).

So, whenever a band is formed, you can be sure that you will have plenty of chance to register your interest to participate.

    Cheers,

    Dyl.

there are certain criteria of course...

    1. must have ability to blow or hit an instrument of some sort
    2. must be willing to stand in the cold for hours
    3. must buy a round for cheapskate trombone section

see you at the next one!

Doesn't an immunity to "Slaidburn" and "Floral Dance" and a penchant for woolly hats come in there somewhere as well :?:

    Definitely, a prerequisite Peter!

Dancing ability is also useful if you play in the CiN band!

I'm not sure I've seen anything that constitutes "dancing" as such at any of these events...
