I'm in the same boat, but will probably be there to play EEb Bass.
Would like to play (bass) - band committments permitting...
Put me down for a seat in the trombones... Parents should be living in Colchester by then so I'll only be down the road I think (accommodation only available to those who have put me up before, ex-band mates and anyone that asks really really nicely...)
Sounds good - count me in as a backrow cornet (of course ), although is school holidays that week, so i may be on dad duties...could always bring lil backrowgirl along of course, but then there would be no :guiness
Can I blag a lift please?!
So, in this short space of time we've accumalated:
Fellow tMPer (via Peter)
Greg (Cornet Chap)
[Will the Sec]
Peter (EEb or BBb)
Will the Sec (EEb or BBb)
Me and my cornet think we would like to come along to this, but we'll have to let you know for sure nearer the time.
Don't worry Sam, the list is only those who may like to come!
OOh I should think so!
Are long model cornets allowed? ;-)
NO, but I can bring my cornet along especially for you!
Excellent. is it trumpet shaped? ;-)
Marvellous something within easy driving distance and I am already doing something that day!
Just slightly shorter ...
Have you got a couple of baritones instead? I now wish to go into the percussion section and need suitable equipment to hit the timpani with...
(That's a joke, baritone players and percussionists....)
Sounds like a good event! Put me down for bass trombone
Ahem folks, but I would like a bit of company on Euph...........please
I'm a bass and trom player to trade but happy to help out on 2nd euph (or to be a third conductor cos I know how helpful that always is in a band!)
Thanks Paul. As you'll realise, the concert is still a long way ahead, and all sorts of things can change between now and then but it's great to see such interest expressed. Incidentally, we have a big hall so will be able to accommodate a fair-sized band with no problems
