At last some decent TV at night!!

Did anybody watch the new series of the Two Ronnies Sketchbook tonight on BBC1? What a laugh, I think these two men are the funniest ever, especially Ronnie Barker! Even tho Ive seen most of the sketches before, they still get me in stitches of laughter everytime!!

Their musical numbers are just brilliantly worked out, Id love to play in the band or orchestra with them, even tho I probably wouldnt manage to play for laughing!

Whats your favourite Two Ronnies sketches? My favourites are the Mastermind one, (answering the question before its asked) and the one with the swear box in the pub!!

Excellent, I hope their musical selection includes Aldershot Brass! Some very young faces marching to Blaze Away etc.

Favorite sketch has to be "four candles" - superb. Managed to catch the last half of it - quality TV.

The links between the sketches seemed very contrived and didn't flow very well, but the sketches themselves are timeless!

It's nice to see the BBC leading us back to proper telly at last. Away from the dreaded reality TV or the Pop Idol's of this world.

    Aldershot brass on you tube

Erm, lots of them, it's now found its way onto youtube :D

Sorry if it's been posted on here before. Now just got to find a website with the words.

So who's going to list the marches?

I'm not sure if it was the Two Ronnies who did this sketch.

It was sung to the tune of Mozart's 40th

"You can go toodle loo on a trumpet
but you can't beat a bang on a drum."

Does anyone know / recall this sketch ???

I just love 'It's A Duck' - priceless comedy. Crying shame that sort of television isn't on here.......the TV people seem to assume we all like those mindless boring reality shows.

    See ya

I am not sure about most, but I am certain about the one starting with "Ain't it a pity the pubs in the city all close at half past ten"
This was good old "Blaze Away" by Abe Holzmann.
