This is the official tMP discussion thread for the 'Welsh' Area of the forthcoming Regional Championships of Great Britain.

Feel free to discuss your thoughts and predictions for each section within the Area - but don't forget to enter the tMP Predictions Competition - for your chance to contribute to the overall tMP Predictions (plus a chance to win one of the first copies of 'The Mouthpiece' - the winning march composed by Darrol Barry). Please note, that any predictions posted within this thread do not contribute towards the competition. Details of the tMP Predictions Competition can be found here: http://www.themouthpiece.com/vb/showthread.php?t=12591

We also ask that when the results for the various sections are announced, they are posted in this thread, and not posted as brand new threads - it has the potential to become extremely messy should this be the case. We will be creating and maintaining a complete set of results for viewing on the tMP Portal as they happen.

Why aren't Abergavenny on the lists for the predictions competition? Are you trying to imply something?

All the best to bands competing at the Brangwyn this weekend. We have a 5am start on Saturday - eek - but are staying over on the Saturday evening for a bit of socialising! ;) Then to top the weekend off we've arranged to stop at a hotel in Llangollen to watch the rugby match on the way home on Sunday!

Following a couple of really good rehearsals on Variations..... last night's rehearsal was a bit of a let-down for us - hopefully it was just one of those nights you get in the run-up to a contest where things don't go quite as planned - but are useful in a way in forcing everyone to step up a gear! Fingers crossed anyway! ;)

See you in the bar peeps...............

Good luck to Royal Buckley Town and also to all the other North Walian bands competing at the weekend.

Sounds like you have the weekend sorted Dyl! Unfortunately i'm going to miss the rugby as it kicks off the same time as my section starts in Blackpool :(

Yes - Good Luck to all the north walians who are going down tomorrow - I hope all of you have your passports ready!!!

I'm there with Deiniolen - it's going to be a tough call in the 2nd section.

Not looking forward to a 5am start - but I hope it will be worth it at the end of the day!

Dyl has volunteered to buy the first pint!!
