Anyone else remember a group called The Brass Band from about 15 years ago? I saw them in London - the most entertaining brass playing I've ever seen. They appeared on Blue Peter around the same time playing Sabre Dance with duelling trombones.

    - I saw them at the Edinburgh Festival I think in the late '70s when they did an impromptu concert in Princes Street Gardens. I still have a recording of their album 'Just A Tiny Boo Boo' (live in Melbourne 1980). I just remember them running all over the place managing to be convincing playing orchestral arrangements like William Tell, Hungarian Rhapsody No.2, Poet & Peasant etc. as well as other standards such as Malagueno, Sabre Dance and probably the most played theme at the time, Also Sprach Zarathrustra. It was fun for everbody to experience them! So ad hoc! :)
