    In a fit of drunken nostalgia I may have signed up for Ogmore Valley Silver Band...
    Not played at all for 5 years, not played a cornet for about 20 years. After 2 hours of carols outside Sainsbury's I held up fairly well but got lips like spaniel's ears
    Happiest of Happy Crimbles to my brass sisters and brothers xx

    Oh, dear, Mama Badger . . . looking back over my life, I've lost count of the number of self-inflicted tragedies and disasters which can be covered by the phrase -

    "Well, it seemed like a good idea - at the time . . . " :confused:

    But, seriously, if I can start playing at the age of 68, and make progress - having never touched any brass instrument before - I'm sure your embouchure will be back at nut-cracking strength before you know it! :)

    Onwards and upwards, Mama - dare to be awesome!

    And a very Happy Christmas to you and yours,

    Jack

    Always good to hear a blast from the past! Hope you stick with it, and I'm sure things will soon fall into shape.

    Yay! Excellent news. Look what I posted a while back on Greetings from Groovy;

    Like too many. I miss Bigmama badger, Mr B, Mr H and Hellsbones to name just a few. Your lovely lady is not on here much either. :(

    I feel a new thread coming on - a lament for the missing...
