Hi all, I am after a wick 4 mouthpeice for tenor horn or equivilent for a pupil of mine but have drawn a blank so far. A 5 is too small and a 3 is too big.
    Have they stopped making them?
Does anyone know suitable equivelent ones?
    2nd hand would be ok

    cheers Sharon;)

Denis Wick horn mouthpieces are only available in 2, 3 & 5 for some strange reason. Get 'em on a 2! ;) Not sure of any alternatives.... sorry!! I wasn't much help was I?

so what do all you proper tenor horn players use when a 3 is too big and a 5 a bit small?, Do you use Vincent bachs, bessons?

What is a besson 15 like?

... check the link I gave above for the Josef Klier range of tenor horn mouthpieces. The specifications also bridge the missing 18mm cup size in the Wicks! ;)

I'm afraid I can't help you any further. I had the same problem, but played on a Dennis Wick 3. Now I'm playing a DW 2, and I'm looking for a bigger mouthpiece. Does somebody know any bigger mouthpieces?
