Has anyone used this particular free software to communicate with the band? Any views? I know South Yorks Police Band use it.

    1) We currently use Goggle Calendar to list jobs etc - however some people don't have internet access, or don't access it often enough to keep up to date.

    2) We also use text.

    3) We also use emails - see 1) above

    4) We have also used Doodle Google to check on peoples availability for sections extra rehearsal as well

its all a bit messy and needs managing and someone alway falls through the system or didn't know about something (or didn't tell us etc)

We don't pigeon post or print outs on the grounds that they are usually already out of date by the time everyone's got them

Yeah we use it, seems to work really well. It sends out a text and/or email request and you just reply with (Y) or (N) or you can go on the site and reply. Handy for weeks leading up to contests when extra rehearsals are on to know whether to stick to sectionals or not I suppose :)

Chorley Fruitgum Works (Rutland Championship Section, Winners 1891) are recruiting a first class tenor horn player for the upcoming Regional Qualifiers and beyond. Position negotiable for the right player, but must have internet access and mobile phone and respond promptly to emails and text messages.
