Tameside Youth Contest

    ok ive been told the results only i didnt write them down (clever or wot)

    so from my memory (which isnt very good)

    i think it went

    1. smithills
    2 poynton
    3 youth brass 2000
    4 stockport schools

    dont count me to that as i said my memory is rubbish

    Youth Brass 2000 also won best horn for Tracey Colston. She was absolutely fab and well deserved it after her performance of the Lark in the Clear Air! Well done Trace! ;)
    ...oh and I won best Euphonium! :p :woo :bounce

    We both won £150, and got £500 for 3rd place, so £800 overall :D , but we're not allowed any of it... :-? :-(

    is that the first time in about 6 years (or somethin stupid like that) where smithills havnt won best basses?

    Well done all, glad to see Youth Brass getting in the prizes again after a few years rebuilding. Hopefully many more to come chaps.

    Congrats to all the prizewinners, shame I couldnt have got up there to share a few OJ's afterwards
