So it appears that Britney Spears' latest 'marriage' (in her own words) 'may not be totally legal'.

Marriage is supposed to be an institution. Spears needs to be put in one with the key thrown away.....

Apparently, the ceremony was performed without the couple first obtaining a marriage license. This, of course, is illegal and the officiant could be prosecuted and lose whatever credentials would allow them to perform marriage ceremonies.

The whole thing seems to be simply a publicity stunt - which seems to have worked, since we're even talking about her on a brass band forum . . .

It does seem a little strange that, allegedly, in order to throw the press off the scent and avoid them turning up in their hundreds taking photographs of her real wedding, she decided to throw a fake one, at which the press were invited in their hundreds to come and take photos.....???

And then she tells everyone that it was fake so that they will all turn up at the real one anyway.

Anyone would think that she WANTED to get her name onto the front page of the newspapers or something............
