The South West Trains Woodfalls Band is proud to announce it’s second concert in aid of the Round Table Children’s Wish Charity. The concert is being held on 4th May at the Boscombe Salvation Army Citadel, Palmerston Road, Boscombe commencing at 7.30pm. Once again, the concert has been organised by Joy Lawrence, who will also be conducting the Park School Choir.

As well as SWT Woodfalls band, conducted by musical director Melvin White, the concert will also feature the Park School Choir and the Boscombe Salvation Army Junior Timprellists. As well as this, we are delighted to confirm Steven Mead as a special guest soloist for the evening. The world famous Euphonium Soloist will be performing a number of items throughout the concert likely to appeal to a wide range of tastes. Some of the pieces are likely to include Rule Britannia and Harlequin.

The Bournemouth based charity is involved with “making wishes cone true for children with life-threatening illnesses” and since 1990 has granted over 1000 wishes. This is a charity that does wonderful work for children throughout the country and South West Trains Woodfalls Band is proud to be associated with it. Numerous fund raising events are held throughout the year and in fact, the Principal Euphonium for SWT Woodfalls Band, Graham Lawrence and his wife Joy, are both running the London Marathon in support of this charity.

With tickets costing only £5, this really is a great opportunity to hear one of the world’s finest Soloists along side other high quality performers in a fantastic venue. It will also contribute much-needed funds to a very well deserving charity.

For tickets, please contact either Joy Lawrence or Julie Atherton on the details below.

If you are able to do so, please come along to this concert to help in raising further funds for this worthy charity.
