I have a student model cornet for sale on behalf of a friend. The cornet in question is engraved as "Rosehill Instruments Foreign" and was bought from the Rosehill music shop in Beaconsfield. The serial number of the cornet is 754758. The instrument plays fine and would be ideal for a beginner brass player. The cornet is very good condition with just one dent on the final bend before the bell this is approximately 2cmx1cm and will be easily repairable. All the valves and slides operate, though will be stiff with lack of use. The silver finish is all intact. See photos This cornet does not have a first or third valve trigger. It comes with the original case in good condition, a mouthpiece simply labelled 7C (whether that corresponds to a Bach 7C I cannot say), and a half full bottle of Holton valve oil. Finally, there are a number of music books for sale either together with the instrument or separately, these are: Arban Cornet Method (Boosey & Hawkes edition, yellow cover) Four Little Pieces (tpt & pno), Gordon Jacob, Emerson Edition First Book of Practical Studies, Robert Getchell First Book of Trumpet Solos (tpt & pno), Wallace & J. Miller Simple Studies for Beginner Brass, John Miller Winners Galore, Peter Lawrence Tune a Day book 2, Herfurth & V. Miller Some of these books have got tutor markings in them. There are also some loose sheets of oddments. The seller is looking for £80 for the cornet, plus £20 for the music books. Cheers, Greg.
