Steve - son of Ivor Barnett the well known local MD from Cardiff, who was playing today with Cwmamman spoke to tMP's Sparkling Quavers earlier in the day. Steve said that that preparations were going well and when asked what they’ve done to prepare for the contest, Steve said they’ve had Johnathan Corry in to work with the band who has been doing a really good job.

Steve owns a company called ElitePercussion.Com, a networking portal for percussion players. He was frustrated with trying to find information/resources for percussion, decided to take the step and set up a site with information on player profiles etc. Steves site can help you locate percussionists in your area should you need one. Steve also teaches, mainly in the Gloucestershire area and also does masterclasses with Brasstastic.

Why not check out his site.

Nice Mr Barnet, nice. Preparations were going well. I look forward to the day when we can record a piece in the bandroom and remain in the bar during the contest while a CD plays our pre-recorded contribution. Perhaps then the nerves wont be so bad :-? . Regardless of rubbish result, some really good solo playing especially Miss Rhian Hills on flugel. Superb in fairness - absolutley superb.
