    [​IMG] The Stannington Band recently teamed up with the pop group Boy on a Dolphin to wow the crowds in Sheffield.
    Brass band music was brought to a whole new audience on Friday night when Stannington Brass joined Sheffield based band Boy on a Dolphin as surprise guests at their annual City Hall gig.

    Conducted by Derek Renshaw, Stannington’s MD, they accompanied lead singer John Reilly as he performed 'Danny Boy' to rapturous applause.

    Standing ovation

    But the best was yet to come - they received a standing ovation when they joined Boy on a Dolphin for a specially arranged version of 'Round and Round' (from the album 'From Barkers Pool to Thunder Bay').
