Congratulations to Greenalls - I was helping them out today. Nice to know I can still bring a bit of luck. :)
  13. Lets hope you continue to bring luck to contests... for the next 3 weeks anyway!

    Congrats to Blackburn and Darwen

Well done B and D - two superb performances, and judging from comments passed by lots of people who heard the band, were unlucky not to have won the overall prizes for both March and Hymn Tune.

Well done to the organisers. Good staging, amplification & seating. Good choice of two well respected Adjudicators in Mr. Whitam & Mr. Lawton. No one would ever challenge their judgement. A well deserved win to Rainford. Hope the contest continues with the Council's support. (Even the siting of ?eight portaloos left other contests standing).
  18. It was a really well run contest and hopefully will be a regular event on the calendar.

The only gripe that I would have is that the adjudicators were placed too far from the stage in my opinion. How they could hear some of the quieter playing from there, what with all the buses and other traffic so close by, god only knows.

Also, well done to Neil and all at Rainford on a fine win.
