The Trusts Waitakere Brass are delighted to announce the appointment of Fendall Hill on soprano cornet.

Fendall has a long association with Waitakere as his father, Reverend Tom Hill, brought them from the C grade to become one of NZ’s top A grade bands.

Fendall is an accomplished trumpet player and composer. His trumpet concerto is being used as the solo test piece for soprano cornet at the Australian National Championships 2006. Fendall is the current New Zealand soprano champion and will be defending his title in Dunedin in July along with playing for Waitakere Brass as they launch their assault on the National Championship.

Fendall will make his debut on February 18th in the ‘Stars in Brass’ concert with guest soloist Riki McDonnell.
