Ok so, I've been thinking....there are an awful lot of songs written with names in. The Carolines of this world are no exception! So far I remembered...
"Caroli - i-i-i-i-i-ineeeee , she's so lazy, she's so crazy" (Cliff Richard and the shadows??! - I was so wrong! It was Fleetwood Mac)
"Caroline, she's the reason for the word bitch" (Outcast - unnecessary if you ask me!)
"Sweet Caroline, la la la la".....!
David Gray has one on his second (not so successful) album
    Caroline, no (Beachboys)
Caroline, yes. (Kaiser Chiefs, not sure, it's a relatively new purchase and so haven't come up with a witty comment about it yet)

It's like one big ego trip!

How many songs feature your name?

How about 'Sarah Smile' by Hall and Oates and 'Sarah' by Thin Lizzy?
I think Fleetwood Mac also did a song called 'Sarah' as well.

If I think of any more I'll let you know!

Name and Surname initial for me...

    Sloop John B
We come on the sloop John B,
    my Grandfather and me.
Around Nassau town we did roam.
    Drinkin' all night.
    Got into a fight.
Well, I feel so break up, I want to go home. (I want to go home. So now,)
    Chorus:
Hoist up the John B's sails.
See how the main sails set.
Call for the captain ashore, let me go home. (Let me go home.)
Let me go home. (I want to go home.)
I want to go home. (Why don't you let me go home?)
Well, I feel so break up, I want to go home. (I want to go home.)

    First mate, he got drunk.
    Broke up the people's trunk.
Constable had to come and take him away.
Sheriff John Stone (Sheriff John Stone),
why don't you leave me alone? (Why don't you leave me alone?)
Well, I feel so break up, I want to go home. (I want to go home. So, now)

    Chorus
Well, the poor cook he caught the fits.
Throw away all of my grits.
Then he took and he ate up all of my corn.
Let me go home. (I want to go home.)
I want to go home. (Why don't you let me go home?)
This is the worst trip since I've been born. (Since I have been born. So, now)

    Chorus

Comes up with one 'Derek' - by Guttermouth (who he?)

(The lyrics are either really deep and meaningful, or utter garbage. My money's with the dustbinmen...:) )

    Couldn't agree more.

Incidently I'm a big fan of the music of John B (Drum and Bass DJ)

I plan to name my children after songs, I think it'd be great. Wish I was named after one. I'm thinking Jodie if female with brown eyes (from the Gorky's Song with the chorus Jodie brown eyes) - someone is now going to correct me and tell me I've completely miss-heard those lyrics.

As for Tim... ? not sure, Yorkshirepuddin has come up with few original ones though :)

    Smile for me, my Diane

I'm in heaven when I see you smile
    Smile for me, my Diane
And though ev'rything's dark all the while
    I can see you, Diane

You have lighted the road leading home
Pray for me when you can
But no matter wherever I roam
    Smile for me, my Diane

I'm in heaven when I see you smile
    Smile for me, my Diane
And though ev'rything's dark all the while
    I can see you, Diane

You have lighted the road leading home
Pray for me when you can
But no matter wherever I roam
    Smile for me, my Diane
