Following my last post about bass trombone solos, one of our other trombonists would like to do a solo! His maximum upper range is an E within the stave (treble clef) so we're not sure what sort of pieces he could do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Unfortunately pieces like the acrobat and the joker are out as they've been played by other people recently, as is Share My Yoke as our solo cornet player got there first! Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated.

It might be helpful to change the name of your thread to something like: "Easy Tenor Trombone Solos". With a top note of E (no higher than) within the stave (treble clef) you might struggle to find a solo piece, I wonder whether a trombone duet or trio might be a better way forward for him and your band.
