Smith Watkins Post Horn

    Hi, Just wondering has anybody had any experiences with the Smith Watkins post horn?? Also does anybody know how much they cost? Thanks Adam

    I'm not aware Richard Smith does post horn's. WE play on a set of his chromatic fanfares and cornets, they are excellent.

    When my last band bought a set of Heralds off Richard Smith he brought a post horn to try.

    They're ok. I guess they blow nice but at the end of the day it's excess pipes thats been lying around the workshop made into a post horn! A bit over priced too, he quoted us £495 each.

    If you're looking around, try Rosehills and Rath, theyre pretty good. But nothing compares to the old Boosey and Hawkes, I got mine from a TA Military Band and its beautiful.
