Smith Watkins K2 Cornet For Sale!!!

    I checked it out, as a Smith-Watkins owner myself I was curious ;-) You might like to know that the bore of a K2 is 0.47 not 0.464. OK, not a huge difference but I think it makes it the largest bore cornet around. This is probably personal preference but I find I have to use a RW3B mouthpiece with it because I just couldn't get the required volume of air through my favourite McCann mouthpiece. Mine's a bit younger than yours, with a serial number in the 700's and inscribed "Smith-Watkins, York".

    I'm sure other SW owners will agree with me that these are fantastic instruments - very light to hold and with a super-slick valve action. My only complaint is that I'm not good enough to get anywhere near the best out of the instrument!
