I have noticed a number of tMPers using 'smiley central', i've downloaed it, but can't seem to add any smileys to my posts or signature. What am i doing wrong, or what do i need to do?

I have been clicking in my post where i want the smiley to be added and then clicking on the smiley. Is that what i am supposed to do or am i missing something out?

That's correct what you are doing. It's worth checking your preference settings. Go into smiley central, then preferences. Then enable/disable & make sure everything is checked.

    Good luck

Mine won't accept them either so:
    1) Pick your smiley and click on it
    2) You should get a little window saying "Couldn't add a smiley? To learn why, click here"
    3) Click here
    4) Another window opens up look down to where it says "Wanna add smileys to your website?"
    4) Click here again
    5) it will now say "You now have the HTML code for the smiley you selected...."
Go back to your post and just do a paste
    6) Now you have the following:
    "<a href='' target='_blank'><img src='' border=0></a>

    7) change to: [IMG]

(If you do a "quote" reply to this post you should see the correct HTML, it's just a question of changing some of the brackets and directions)

Any good? Bit long winded and I'd love to hear from anyone who can do it more quickly, but at least it works.

OK, i've just downloaded smiley central. Didn't run the install cus it came straight up on ad-aware. Checked it out on Google, found it contains spyware. Deleted it. BUT its left me with the minging tool bar and hubby is not a happy bunny. How do I get rid of it.
