Slavische Fantasie - help?

    Am considering doing this piece (Slavische Fantasie- Carl Hohne) in an upcoming contest...do any players out there who've played it know what tempo the 'tempo di mazurka' section should be played at ( ie beats per minute?)

    Also any other tips for playing this song would be great!

    Hiya,

    I've Slavishce a million-squillion times and I keep the Mazurka section quite lively I play it about crotchet = 175.
    Hope this helps

    I've only heard one out of those million-squillion performances and it was fantastic!
