What is the best way to get yourself out of the following situation, think carefully before looking at the answer:

You are driving in a car at a constant speed. On your left side is a
4 foot drop and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same
speed as you. In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same
size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a
helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant pig and the
helicopter are also travelling at the same speed as you.

What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?

Most merry-go-rounds go the other way round, don't they? (4 foot drop on the right)

Is there a pedants corner forum on here anywhere? (You're wrong anyway. All the ones I can remember travel clockwise)

No, 4-foot drop on the left is correct. It's not that long since I went on a merry-go-round...
Am I the only one to find merry-go-round horses scary? Something about those mad staring eyes...

I think in Australia they go they other way around.

Think I'd have mad staring eyes if someone shoved a pole through my middle and made me seasick and dizzy!. And have you any idea how often a horse can Fart! to be stuck behind a horse with flatulence foe eternity!

Bad people go to hell.... bad horses end up on a (not-so)-Merry-Go-Round :D
