Silver Spectrum are a contesting Wind Band based in Sheffield with vacancies for Cornet players and percussion.
We are a recently formed adult wind band with round 25-30 regular members with ages ranging from 18-75.
We play a wide range of music, including Classical, Film, Swing, Jazz and Contemporary pieces by composers such a Gustav Holst, John Williams, Duke Ellington and Philip Sparke
At the moment the band is booked to perform at five concerts, and will be entering the National Concert Band Festival in Bradford .
Rehearsals are held Monday evenings during Sheffield term time only, making it accessible for students or members with children
If you know of any woodwind players who might be interested we have vacancies in most sections although flutes are full at the moment.
