Sibelius have been sold

    Interesting. Perhaps Avid will lower the price somewhat, as Sibelius is, in my opinion, a bit overpriced (which causes much of the pirating).

    I wouldn't hold your breath - in this particular market, Sibelius is a premium program and Avid take no prisoners with their pricing strategy for their other premium products (for example they own Digidesign => Protools etc)....although there may be an opportunity for more cut down versions and / or integrated versions that come in at lower prices.

    Well if you get one of these cut down versions at a cheaper price, can you do me a copy:D

    (this is a joke and I do not wish to give my approval to software piracy)
