Shuttleworth College to host “Around the World” spectacular on 23rd April.
In the first music event of its kind since its brand new State Of The Art College opened in September 2008, Shuttleworth College is delighted to announce an exciting concert later this month, featuring one of the most famous brass bands in the world, alongside our multi talented youngsters, including a last night of the proms tribute for St George’s Day.
The College is delighted to announce that the world famous Besses O’Th’ Barn Band have agreed to be their guests for the evening. Echoing the “Around the World” theme of the concert, the band will play a selection of music from around the globe. Refreshments themed around an English tea party will be served in the interval, as well as a raffle and other opportunities to win spot prizes on the night.
Feature performances will be provided by a selection of pupils from the school, ranging from a debut for our new year 7 choir all the way through to our exceptionally talented GCSE music pupils and other small ensembles. There will also be world premiere performances of some of our GCSE Music pupil’s compositions. The evening will even feature a guest bagpiper - there is something here for everyone, guaranteed!
Tickets prices are £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for concessions. Tickets have limited availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, it is advised that you buy tickets well in advance.
